new toy on the block: lelo.

Yeah, I know today is the playoffs & I'm talking about Toys... so what, I'm still watching with him, just watching while I do what I love to do - WRITE.

[lelo: gigi]

Although the Lelo line isn't really that new, it is one the newest on the market of sex toys. I saw this toy back in ummm, October I believe, when I spontaneously decided to visit the toy shop just to see what was new. I saw these in the back and was so taken aback. They are so compact and sleek. As an avid toy buyer, I like to take everything about a toy into account when it comes to my review and desire of it, not just the vibration or how well it gets me off. Although vibration and orgasm intensity are both extremely important most toys can bring you to orgasm with enough time or effort.

Lelo toys come in a pretty black storage box along with a charger, a satin pouch for traveling, warranty information (yes warranty - a year to be exact), and an instruction manual. Not many toys come with an instruction manual, trust me, and if they do there’s usually not more than a page of pretty basic instructions. Manuals that come with Lelo's do not only include basic information about the pleasure object but also troubleshooting information and specifications.

Lelo has all a variety of toys all with different names - Nea, Gigi, Mia, Ella, Lili, Liv, Iris & Elise. They also have a line of beads. This is just the females stuff. And just like most products, they also have an homme and a luxe line in which toys come in steel or gold plates.

As more and more females become "one" with their bodies, sex toys are becoming a permanent fixture in several households...

My faves are Gigi, Nea & Elise... Shoot, I think I want Mia too... how discreet is a lipstick-sized vibrator...

s.p.a.: sanitas per aquam..

Ever had a hot stone massage or better yet seaweed mud wrapped all over your body, head to toe?

How about a facial so euphoric, it could bring you to orgasmic sounds leaving you to forget that it is not your man (or woman) rubbing on your face, but simply a masseuse?

What about a toe curling pedicure?

-sigh-

I need to go back to
D'mai Urban Spa in Park Slope, Brooklyn. It's the best spa I've been to. I've become a regular there. Not to mention, it's a hop, skip and a jump away from my apartment.

execution: build your brand.

Back in November, I spoke about needing to pick, choose and deliver to the best of my ability in this Random Thoughts post. Although this was primarily about work, I'm going to apply this in every area of my life, as I've come to realize that life is an extreme challenge. There will be difficult situations, major obstacles and forks in the road that will distract you from reaching your destination. There will be manipulative people that are envious of your accomplishments or people that will succumb to spreading rumors about you because they don’t have what it takes to reach your level. For every personal goal that I’ve tried to accomplish there was always at least one force [thing or person] trying to get in my way. But I looked beyond that. Granted, not everything I started I finished, but I gave it my best while I was active in it.

Now I am making it my business to finish everything I start. I've decided to aggressively pursue my writing career. I've decided to be a better Editor-In-Chief for Mannequin® Magazine and help bring it to fruition, we've waited forever for this one. One of the last investors who was a bit indecisive finally gave in and invested in what may will be one of the most aesthetically pleasing artistic lifestyle magazines to date. Also, the entertainment lawyer on Mannequin® Magazine is running for councilman of Queens, so that will only give us more backing & exposure. While doing that, I've decided to continue to excel in my current position here at the Insurance company so that I can be even more effective in the position above mine - 'cuz I'm taking that one too. I stand out here much and I want to continue building my brand. I've decided to also take this publisher up on his offer to write a book and still be a part of his team while I'm at it. Now, that alone will be a task in itself. But you don't know your capabilities until you try something. I'll start off small like he suggested. The only way to get where you want to be is to do what needs to be done to get there sans procrastination. It really doesn’t matter how long it takes to reach your goal. I'm not about setting time frames. As long as you have determination and motivation to get you there, you're fine. I already executed a lot of actions with regards to my family, my relationship and my friends, so I'm pretty sufficient in those areas in my life. I really have great people in my circle... not everyone is this blessed.

I know I’m equipped to handle just about anything because I am strong minded, experienced enough, independent, assertive and realistic. So if when I begin my journey of choosing and delivering to the best of my ability, this year will be definitely happiness-filled. Hope yours is too.

P.S. - I'm still poppin' e... refer to this post first, then this one after , if you're unsure of what I'm talking about.

apartment therapy.

I'd love to have a decor similar to this in my living room but realistically, it won't work.
Sometimes it pays to not have any young ones ....lol.

Although I absolutely adore the black, white [and blue] scheme I seen at IKEA this weekend, [hmmm , good bathroom idea], I've had to resort to darker earth toned colors in my living room [i.e my couch and throw blanket], that can easily conceal typical 5 year old accidents. However, I am satisfied with the contrast of colors I've used in my living room [like my accent wall - Benjamin Moore's electric orange - see example of color below]. I'm not scared of trying bold colors especially when it comes to paints because I loathe monotonous looks.

A black and white room could be very therapeutic though. Maybe I'll make my dream come true when I own a house. I'll have one room that's fresh and tranquil with black and white decor. It'll be my Relax - Relate - Release room.

gotta have it.

Surfing the net at work today, I found this sweater while browsing
Net-A-Porter...

luv it.

recent oral fixation.

Nooo, not him ... :-p

My POM Juice.
I 've recently been drinking one a day [miraculous to the skin], but I am starting to realize what I drink and eat [making a promise to myself to eat healthier starting...... now - not "for '09"] totally differs on the weekends. Actually, my entire diet differs on the weekends, and it's not for the better, smh. Thank God for my fast metabolism. Especially my water intake. No bueno. It's just so much easier when you have a water filter a few feet away from you at work. As far as the POM juice, my weekend intake of that also sucks partly because certain things just aren't available in the groceries near me [specifically this exact pomegranate juice... there are others though, but I'm picky...]. So I end up grabbing a bottle on my way in to the office almost every morning.

I didn't always like the taste of POM juice. It was an acquired taste that I am now addicted to. Not to mention, I firmly believe in the superanitoxidant power in POM [hence the cape over the bottle], and the health benefits are superb. POM has incredibly high levels of very potent polyphenol antioxidants and the antioxidants found in it fight hard to help prevent free radicals from doing their damage to our skin. Antioxidants as a whole are great for skin.

Other health benefits include: improved blood flow to the heart and for the guys: hopeful results for prostate health and drinking 8oz of POM juice daily can help you experience improved erections...how cool...lol.

With that said, I need to stock up at home to keep the consistency going. I am about to be totally dependant on it ...

bitch rant ...

"Going outta my head I think I'm losing all my mind"

I'm screaming. Ready to pull my hair out or the little of it that's left [clarification -- I'm rocking a dope short cut people, I'm not bald].
Upset? Stressed? Annoyed?

Think again.

It's Him. His love. His hate. His honesty. His kindheartedness. His anger. His kisses. His touches. His sweat. His thrusts. Everything. I can go on and on but I don't wanna lose you're attention. It's just so overwhelming, in a great way. I don't know what to do with myself.

Laugh. Cry. Shout. Giggle. Pout. Run.

I don't recall ever feeling this way. I wanna be around him when I love him and I wanna be around him even MORE when I hate him. I'm weird like that.
I can't remember the last time I got butterflies in my stomach ... Oh wait. Yeah I can, it was the other night when I saw him...lol

He's my lover, my friend, my confidante ... I wouldn't have it any other way.

Unless of course ... he does some eff'd up ni**a shit.. then I'd be forced to strike a match on that ass.

Crazy bitch?! Call it what you want.
